Lagos — Mobil Producing Nigeria Ltd. is seeking to pre-qualify contractors for Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (EPCI) of a Floating, Storage and Offloading (FSO) vessel and mooring system as part of the development of its Yoho field.
In an announcement Monday, Mobil said the Yoho field is located offshore in shallow water (65 metres) approximately 50 miles off the coast of Nigeria.
The company said the requirements for Floating Storage and Offloading vessel are:
* Cargo capacity of approximately 2,000,000 barrels;
*Single-point mooring system (external turret or tower yoke);
*Uninterrupted service life requirement of 15 years'
*Installed and ready for service by September 2003.
The advertisement said the EPCI scope of work includes the following:
* acquisition of the hull/vessel (including any inspection and condition assessment);
*detailed engineering and procurement for the FSO and mooring system (including any repair, life extension and conversion scope);
*fabrication, construction and outfitting for the FSO and mooring system;
*transportation, site installation, hookup and commissioning of the FSO and mooring system;
*preparation of operating and maintenance manuals/procedures and training of ExxonMobil operating personnel.
It requested companies interested in the pre-qualification to seek a pre-qualification questionnaire, and provide the following information:
*Transmittal letter, providing an expression of interest.
*Company name with mailing address.
*Physical address.
*Contact person
*Phone number, facsimile number and e-mail address.
