Sierra Leone's leading mobile company, Celtel, has appointed Sierra Leonean born Bernard Sisay as its new Marketing Manager.

Introducing the new Manager to journalists, the Executive Director of SL McCann, Rodney Sandy, appealed for cooperation from the press with the new man.

Mr. Sisay told the press that he is looking forward to building and strengthening what has already been established. He added that telecommunications has a vital role to play in the economy of any country and was happy to come back home to help in that direction. Mr. Sisay is a holder of Sociology degree and an MSC in International Marketing from Southbank University in the United Kingdom. He is said to be an experienced marketing person, having worked with companies such as the Royal Mail and British Telecom PLC (BT PLC). He is also reported to be an avid reader and traveler. Mr. Sisay is married with two children.

Journalists at the press conference extended a warm hand of welcome to the new Marketing Manager and they too expressed the hope that the cordial relationship that has been in existence will continue.
