Cote d'Ivoire's Road to South Africa

1 July 2010

Cote d'Ivoire cruised through the qualifying rounds without losing a match, winning their group ahead of Burkina Faso, Malawi and Guinea.

At the brink of qualifying, however, they had to call on the services of striker Didier Drogba, who gave them the 3-2 cushion they needed to overcome Burkina Faso.

The final point they needed to stamp their ticket to South Africa also came from Drogba, who came off the bench to score an equalizer against Malawi.
