AfDB and ADF Deputies Meet for ADF-12 Mid-Term Review in Cape Verde

The capital city of Cape Verde, Praia is, from 12 to 14 September 2012 hosting the African Development Fund Deputies meeting, under the ADF-12 mid-term review.

The meeting will assess the volume of activities undertaken by the African Development Bank (AfDB). It will also be an opportunity for the institution to show to Deputies, achievements during the year.

At the last Board of Directors' meeting, on September 6 in Tunis, President Donald Kaberuka, emphasized that: "In a very difficult international financial environment, the Bank was able to maintain its sustainability, while continuing to support our countries."

The African Development Fund (ADF) contributes to the promotion of economic and social development in 40 African countries among the least developed, through the provision of concessional financing for projects and programs, as well as for technical assistance activities within the framework of studies and capacity building activities.
