UBA Ghana celebrated the AU Day in Ghana in a grand style. While this day is celebrated around the world every year on May 25th, UBA as Africa’s global bank also acknowledges this day all around its Africa Subsidiaries in a very distinct way: Visibility, where African decorations are showcased across all UBA Africa regional offices Employee engagement where a colorful African dress code is observed to be worn throughout the day, along with other civic duties towards a good cause.

Broll Ghana Ltd, property managers of UBA at its domiciled Headquarters, {Heritage Towers} celebrated 10 years in service and on the occasion of the A.U Day festivities, UBA supported the Broll Ghana Ltd initiative “Support a Right Cause and Make Life Worth Living for Someone” dubbed “GOODIES IN A BARREL CAMPAIGN”.

The UBA Foundation, through the “Read Africa Initiative” donated literature books to support this worthy cause with 100 books entitled ”What Sunny Saw in the Flames” This is a book about an African girl born in New York and brought home to live in Africa but couldn’t quite fit in until she connected with friends on the football playground. She then found solace in an exciting new realm of fiction and fantasy and became a “hero” rescuing other children from the flames of dangerous killer. An excellent and absorbing book for all ages to read!

Said Abiola Bawuah, MD UBA Ghana, “Our children are being drawn into a fast paced adult reality world via social media and are not able to grow up as children with their full imaginations being explored. These books we hope will bring our children back into their real childhood and we at UBA are determined to do this one child at a time”

In response to the donation Mr. Kofi Ampong - MD BROLL GHANA LTD said “UBA has been a Heritage Towers client since inception 12 years ago and we are both pleased and proud to receive this goodwill donation as we soldier on to provide leading property management services for the Ghanaian Corporate industry, and with this, we thank UBA and look forward to more good collaboration”

The African Union day continued for UBA with prizes to the winners of the best dressed male and female competitors who did their best to win by the elaborate African attire they wore.
