The highly communicable nature of the COVID-19 virus has forced the African Development Bank, like many international institutions, to move its 2020 Annual Meetings to an online, web-based format.

The event will be held 25 to 27 August 2020, streamlined to address the most pertinent items for the Bank Group this year including the election of the next Bank president and the Governor's Dialogue. Discussions among the African Development Bank's shareholders will assess its progress on achieving the objectives set out in the 2019 General Capital Increase (GCI-VII) and 2019 African Development Fund replenishment (ADF-15).

While the high-level discussions will be closed, a public opening ceremony and closing ceremony will be available online for livestreaming in multiple languages.

Visit the official Annual Meetings website for more details on the program and to access the live sessions.
