Ghana: Govt Will Continue to Create Enabling Environment for Airlines

The Minister for Transport, Kwaku Ofori Asiamah has reaffirmed the government's resolve to provide an enabling environment for airlines to operate in the country.

He said the government was pleased with the conduct of airlines, emphasizing particularly Emirates Airline since it started operating in Ghana.

The Minister disclosed this when the Divisional Senior Vice President of Emirates Airline in charge of International Affairs, Sheikh Majid Al Mualla, and a delegation from the company's office in Ghana paid a working visit to the Ministry.

Mr Ofori Asiamah urged the Emirates to keep up with the good work in the aviation industry.

On his part, Sheikh Majid Al Mualla disclosed that Emirates Airline was planning to increase flights to Ghana, stating that Ghana was one of its key markets.

He expressed appreciation to the Minister for the support the company enjoyed during the COVID-19 lockdown.
