Journalists are invited to attend a workshop that brings together officials from the African Development Bank Group's country office in Côte d'Ivoire and the Ivorian government. Officials will take stock of domestic projects and the country's economic outlook, especially in light of recent global developments, such as the Russia-Ukraine conflict. It is also an excellent opportunity to learn about the latest developments in the major projects financed by the Bank in one of the largest economies in the region.

The workshop is part of a series of discussions organized by the country office this week to review the first version of the Country Diagnostic Note that the Bank has developed for Côte d'Ivoire, the achievements of the Bank's 2018-2022 Country Strategy Paper for Côte d'Ivoire, and its country portfolio in 2022. The orientation of the Bank's next country strategy for Côte d'Ivoire, which will cover the period 20-23-2027, will also be on the agenda of the discussions.

Several consultations were held with senior government officials, including the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Planning and Development and the Ministry of Economy and Finance, in addition to the technical services of the main ministries involved in the Bank's operations in Côte d'Ivoire. Development partners and representatives of the private sector and civil society took part in the exchanges.
