The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has reiterated its commitment to complete all the processes of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) aimed at facilitating ongoing repositioning of the system for efficient service delivery in the territory.

FCTA Permanent Secretary, Olusade Adesola, who revealed this yesterday at the signing ceremony of the SOP, identified the document as the springboard for efficient and incorruptible service delivery to the residents of the territory.

Adesola directed relevant departments to immediately package appropriate training programmes that would enable them build the capacity of the SOP champions and cascade them down to the various Secretariats, Departments and Agencies (SDAs) of the FCTA.

He expressed gratitude to the office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF) for the leadership they had been providing through the service, while assuring the service that the FCTA was ready to imbibe by the established rules.

Team Lead of SOP from OHCSF, Mrs Aolat Dosunmu, commended the FCTA for demonstrating capacity for the effective deployment of SOP through the support and commitment of its staff and management from the SDAs that participated in a-two-week pilot SOP training.

Earlier, the acting Director, Reforms Coordination and Service Improvement Department (RC&SID), Dr Jummai Ahmadu, noted that the event was in compliance with the federal government's directive to deploy SOP as part of the performance management system across all MDAs.

She said the FCTA successfully conducted a two-week training for officers from 15 pilot departments across the SDAs on the process of developing SOP under the guidance of the technical team deployed from the OHCSF.
