Nigeria: Goje Distributes 698,378 Books to Gombe Public Schools

Senator Muhammad Danjuma Goje, representing Gombe Central Senatorial District, has distributed 698,378 books and other educational and instructional materials worth millions of naira to public schools in his constituency.

Speaking at the flag off at Central Primary School, Kumo, in Akko LGA of the state, Goje, represented by Alhaji Abubakar Adamu, said the educational materials were donated to public primary and junior secondary schools in Akko and Yamaltu/Deba LGAs of the constituency.

He said the text books distributed comprised English language, mathematics, basic science, hygiene, information technology, civic education, and fun and easy, being the subjects taught at the basic level.

"In addition, over 103,320 hard-cover books were distributed for teachers and junior secondary school students."

In a remark, the Education Secretary of Akko LGA, Alhaji Abubakar Boyi, commended Senator Goje for supporting children of the less privileged to acquire education, "which is the bedrock of development."
