Liberia: CDC Stalwart Commends President Weah for Speech At Unga, Says It Is Clear and Speaks to Realities

Monrovia — Mr. Anderson Chea, a stalwart of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) says President George Weah recent speech delivered by President George Manneh Weah at the 77th General Assembly of the United Nations in New York, United States is clear and speaks to realities.

According to Chea, the President's 10-minute remarks also created a clear vision of the President's prospects for a better future.

Chea, who chairs the CDC's department of strategic communication, press and propaganda, told this media alert that President Weah has set high standards that future leaders of the country will be challenged to achieve.

Chea, who holds the position as the Chief Operating Officer at the Liberia Telecommunications Corporation (LTC Mobile) said, since the ascendency of President Weah to the presidency, there's no record of political prisoner, and has ensure the protection of freedom of speech.

He added: "that this administration is living in the fulfillment of the Liberian constitution where the freedom of speech and movement are jealously protected, while the protection of free, fair and transparent elections has become the hallmark of the Weah's administration."

Chea also described the CDC government as one that is a respecter of constitutional term limits, meaning the CDC's government for the past five years has been able to live and govern in the confinement of the 1986 Liberian constitution and international protocols.

He also claimed that, Weah is the first Chief Executive of the state to have become the Feminist-In-Chief, with serious attention of empowerment given to qualified females in key positions of government including the current Chief Justice of the country.

Chea narrated that the government's commitment to achieving 64% reduction in carbon emission by 2030, regional and international security maintenance of peace with Liberian troops in Mali (MINUSMA), South Sudan (UNMISS) and UNISFA for Abyei, have all being achieved under the watchful eyes of the Liberian leader.

"He is a reformist, a caring and focused leader in contemporary time."

Chea noted that the reports of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the displaying of drastic reduction of inflation and prospects of growths despite the COVID effect points to the good leadership of President George Manneh Weah.

The CDC communication strategist also intimated that despite the wrong seen by some members of the opposition community, the IMF reports commend Liberia for instituting new policy measures to fight graft and the government adherence to fiscal management is overwhelming.

He was optimistic that, by October of 2023, the Liberian government through its unwavering commitment will continue to ensure an enabling environment continue to exist for the conduct of a peaceful, free, fair, transparent and inclusive elections, where President Weah is expected to come up with flying colors for second term in continuation and completion of his projects that he started.
