Rwanda: SC Kiyovu President Mvukiyehe Resigns

29 September 2022

Kiyovu Sports president Juvenal Mvukiyehe on Thursday resigned from his position citing personal reasons.

Mvukiyehe was elected as Kiyovu president on September 27, 2020.

In a letter addressed to the club's board of directors, he acknowledged that he would not be able to give his best to the club.

He said: "I take this time to announce my resignation as Kiyovu Sports president. I did this for personal reasons," He added that his resignation notice should help the club elect a new leader during Saturday's General Assembly."

Mvukiyehe also promised a smooth handover period within two months to his successor, and noted that he would always be there for the Green Baggies whenever possible.

He will be mostly remembered for building a team that challenged for the league title until the final match-day last season.
