Gambia: Gpu Extends Condolences As Foroyaa Mourns Fallen Colleague

The GPU extends condolences to our colleagues at the Foroyaa Newspaper on the demise of Alpha Bah who was an IT Technician and Webmaster at the Paper.

Alpha's death was announced this morning having fought ill-health for sometime. He was a member of the GPU and was known among colleagues to be hardworking, gentle and respectful.

He also supported workers rights initiatives and was a founding member and Vice Chairperson of the Foroyaa Workers Association.

By virtue of his work at Foroyaa, he is known to have contributed significantly to the creation of an informed, educated and enlightened society in The Gambia.

The burial was scheduled to take place in Manjai Darusalam at 2pm, according to colleagues.

The GPU extends condolences to his family and pray that Allah grant them the fortitude to bear this loss. May Allah grant him Jannah.
