Ghana: Police Hunt for Jacob Awotwi Koomson

Police have mounted a search for Jacob Awotwi Koomson, a taxi driver, for stealing an undisclosed amount in insurance claims.

The suspect, who is said to be the son-in-law of the complainant, Mary Afaglo, in February this year, was given the insurance claim to aid her collect the money from the SIC insurance company due to her immo-bile nature.

The insurance was compensation for the untimely death of one of the sons of Ms Afaglo, Emmanuel Agbesi.

Mr Agbesi was knocked down by a Kia Granbird commercial bus with registration number GT 5393-20 upon approaching Kyekyewere near Teacher Mante in the Eastern Region on December 2021, killing him on the spot.

The complainant, Ms Afaglo upon several unsuccessful attempts to reach the suspect filed a complaint at the Teacher Mante police station.

The suspect, Jacob Awotwi Koomson was last known to reside at Dansoman Con-trol in the Greater Accra Region.

Any person with the whereabouts of the suspect should contact the Teacher Mante police station in the Eastern region.
