Angola: Chan2023 - Soccer Official Confident of Angola's Good Performance

Ondjiva — The president of the Provincial Football Association (APF) of the southern Cunene province Germano Fernandes said Friday that he was confident about the good performance of Angola in the 7th Edition of CHAN2023, going until February 4 in Algeria.

Speaking to ANGOP, the APF representative said the national team join a group in which the task will not be easy for them, but said he was confident about the coach's work and hopes that good results will come out.

Germano Fernandes said the coach summoned the athletes with potential and the team leave for competition with determination to surprise the opponents.

"The training conducted in Portugal will demonstrate that we have a cohesive team and if we keep up with this pace we can move on to the next stage", he stated.

The competition, which started Friday (13th) in Algeria, will gather 17 teams, should Morocco (title holder) decide to withdraw from the competition.

Angola make their debut next Monday (16th) in Oran city.
