Liberia: 'We're Standing With UP... '

-Senator Lawrence

Embattled Liberty Party political leader and Grand Bassa County senator Nyonblee Karnka Lawrence says the Liberty Party is standing alongside former vice president Joseph N Boakai and the Unity Party to rescue Liberia.

" We are here today to encourage you that we are standing with you because when we stand with you, we are standing in the interest of the Liberian people.

Senator Lawrence made the comments last week at the Unity Party National headquarters on Broad Street when scores of young people under the banner of disenchanted Cdcians endorsed the candidacy of Ambassador Boakai and cross over the unity party.

"I'm also here to encourage the two young people who led the disenchanted Cdcians here. We want to ask you to be our Ambassadors. We are gearing up to visit all the counties to receive them," she adds.

"We know there are huge numbers of young people out there who are disenchanted, and we are not a group of people who are divisive. We have spoken against division and hatred. We speak for togetherness and tomorrow when we take over the leadership of this country, we will bring everyone under one umbrella for one Liberia," Sen. Lawrence went on.

She added: "Today, as you have joined us go and serve as ambassadors. We will rescue them because this year, we will rescue Liberia."

Sem. Lawrence described the Unity Party standard bearer and former vice president Joseph N Boakai as Liberia's only hope in redeeming the country from its current backwardness.

"When you are the only dependable for a country or a group of people, and you are the hope of a nation even when mosquitoes bite you, we will care and worry."

She said the news regarding Boakai's illness is a good thing because it helps to build the momentum for October presidential and legislative elections, saying we look forward to more of these things to continue building the momentum.

"Today a huge number of our young people who according to them made errors in 2017 has returned because experience has taught them," she said.

She stated that God has decided that the country will be rescued, saying our minds are made up no amount of money, manipulation, or lies and propaganda will change that story.
