Liberia: NEC Begins Meal Payment to Temporary Staff

The National Elections Commission (NEC) informs the public that additional meal payment allowances for temporary staff for the ongoing Biometric Voter Registration (BVR) exercise began Monday, 3 April 2023.

The Commission wants temporary staff to know that their honorarium is also being processed.

A statement from NEC Monday said pay for temporary staff will be made in keeping with the contractual arrangements.

The Commission says it is pleased with the exceptional display of devotion exhibited by the temporary staff since the start of the BVR exercise on 20 March 2023. The NEC statement assures the temporary staff that their concerns will be addressed in a timely manner.

Meanwhile, the National Elections Commission is appealing to temporary staff to always channel their grievances through their Electoral Supervisors and the Elections Magistrates within the six counties of Grand Bassa, Grand Cape Mount, Bomi, Montserrado, Gbarpolu, and Margibi.
