Gambia: TMT Tops GFF 2nd Division League

Newly promoted side TMT FC have moved back to the top of the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Second Division League table standing with a game-in-hand after winning their week-18 fixture played last Thursday.

TMT FC beat Young Africans 2-1 during a game played at the Late Ousman Saho Field in Old Yundum.

Adama Bah and Lamin Fatty scored for TMT in the 80th and 90+5 minutes while Edismisa Tunkara scored Young Africans consolation goal in the 90+4 minute.

The victory moved TMT back to the top of the table standing with 35 points with a game-in-hand while Young Africans dropped to 16th position with 16 points.

Elsewhere, Jarra West defeated Bombada 3-0 at home during a game played at the Soma Mini Stadium.

Musa Ceesay's brace in the 19th and 63rd minutes and Buba Sey strike in the 82nd minute helped Jarra West collect the maximum points.

The win moved the Jarrankers side to 14th position with 19 points, two points behind Bombada who drop to 13th position with 21 points.

The Gambia Ports Authority (GPA) beat Gunjur United 1-0 during a game played at the Birkama Box Bar Mini Stadium.

Moses Badjie scored the only goal of the match in the 83rd minute for GPA.

The win sent GPA to 5th position with 29 points while Gunjur United occupy 7th position with 25 points.

Tallinding United defeated Kuteh Jumbulu 2-0 during a game played at the Live Your Dreams Sports Academy in Basori.

Lamin Camara opened the scoring for Tallinding United in the 65th minute before Sanna Bojang sealed the victory for them in the 77th minute.

The win puts Tallinding United on 12th position with 22 points while Kuteh Jumbulu maintain rock bottom (18th) position with 10 points.

Immigration FC played a 1-1 draw against Elite United during a game played at the Bakau Mini Stadium.

Malang Jammeh opened the scoring for Elite United in the 49th minute while Yusupha Ceesay leveled matters for Immigration in the 63rd minute, forcing the game to a stalemate.

The result puts Immigration at 8th position with 25 points while Elite sit 3rd position with 32 points.
