Interior cabinet secretary Kithure Kindiki now says the professional surveying and mapping of the expansive Chakama will give the multi-agency security team an opportunity to conduct a methodical, scientific, and thorough investigation on the atrocities perpetrated by doomsday cult leader Paul Mackenzie alongside his collaborators.

While announcing the resumption of the exhumations of the mass graves in Chakama ranch, Kindiki indicated that the forensic team from the government have identified more mass graves that are set to be unearthed. Into what were clearly serious, complicated and organized crimes perpetrated by Mackenzie and his collaborators.

"The investigations team continues to gather all the relevant information and details to piece together watertight evidence that will ensure justice for the victims and accountability for the masterminds of the Shakahola massacre that has so far claimed 242 lives," Kindiki stated through his twitter account.

This even as the government steps up its search and rescue in the vast Chakama ranch in Shakahola. Kindiki is set to commission the construction of several security roads with the vast 50,000-acre Chakama Ranch to facilitate access into the vast Shakahola forest.

Prior to that, Kindiki held a security briefing meeting with the Coast Regional and Kilifi County Security and Intelligence teams before overseeing the commencement of the exercise.
