Marrakech, Morocco, June 9, 2023 — Huawei Network Summit (HNS) 2023 ,  themed "Innovations Never Stop", was successfully held at Pavillon Maya Hotel, Marrakech, Morocco. The summit gathered many industry elites, business leaders, experts, and scholars together to explore digital innovations.

At HNS, Huawei's security products and solutions attracted much attention. Steven Zhao, Vice President of Huawei's Data Communication Product Line, shed light on Huawei's three security solutions and their capabilities at the event . In addition, Youssef Boukari, CTO of Huawei Northern Africa enterprise network solutions, delivered a speech entitled "HiSec Intelligent Defense, Safeguarding Enterprise Digital Productivity" and released the industry's first endpoint-network-storage collaborative ransomware protection solution.

At the summit, Steven Zhao said that network security is undergoing three major changes. First, remote work is on the rise and we are seeing an explosion in IoT device connections. These trends are making us rethink how we position security boundaries. Second, as enterprises migrate their services to the cloud at growing pace, in turn expanding the attack surface of enterprise branches, we must find a way to minimize the pressure in multi-branch security construction. Also, the rampant spread of ransomware on enterprise campuses is difficult to control, causing huge losses. In this context, we need to focus more on preventing user data breaches.

To address these challenges, Huawei delivers three solutions. First, the Classified Protection solution uses "one security management center + three layers of defense" as the core to help detect and quickly handle threats in real time. Second, Huawei Qiankun CloudService is a great fit for large enterprise branches due to its unique features such as zero-configuration onboarding for branch gateways, real-time capability upgrade, and threat handling in seconds. Third, Huawei unve iled the industry's first multilayer ransomware protection solution that leverages endpoint-network-storage collaboration and exclusive AI clustering algorithms to accurately identify ransomware.

As stated by Youssef Boukari, digital and intelligent transformation are global trends, leading to a surge in cyber security risks. By leveraging world-leading security technology research capabilities and bringing together top talent in the global cyber security realm, Huawei launched the HiSec solution — an E2E cloud-network-endpoint security solution that integrates the cloud, network, security, and endpoint capabilities and offers new approaches for campus, branch, and data center security construction. In the future, Huawei will continue to invest in building leading security capabilities to safeguard enterprises' digital transformation.

At this year's HNS, Huawei showcased the HiSec cloud-network-edge-endpoint integrated protection system, anti-DDoS and ransomware protection solutions for data centers, and new aII-in-one intelligent security gateways for campus branches, attracting the attention of many customers.

HiSec — intelligent defense that builds a cloud-network-edge-endpoint integrated protection system: Huawei offers integrated cloud, network, edge, endpoint, and security products and solutions, and provides 24/7 analysis and control capabilities in all scenarios. This implements unified detection, analysis, and operation, greatly reducing the scope of threats.

Huawei's anti-DDoS system with top-notch DDoS mitigation performance and fast and precise defense: Terabit-strong attacks frequently hit data centers and are easy to launch as the cost of attacks constantly drops. Huawei AntiDDoS series devices provide NP+CPU-boosted collaborative defense, with the NP able to filter volumetric attacks at the network layer. A single such device delivers up to 2.4 Tbps defense performance, the highest in the industry.

Huawei's intelligent ransomware protection solution with data protection powered by "network + storage": The global economic loss caused by ransomware attacks increases every year. In response, Huawei provides the network-storage integrated ransomware protection solution, which uses multi-layered defense on the network side and storage side to protect enterprise data assets.

AII-in-one intelligent security gateway that redefines branch security with simplified security: Constructing a large number of branch networks is costly, and there is usually a shortage of professional security operations personnel. Huawei's HiSecEngine USG6500F series all-in-one smart security gateway integrates routing, switching, and security capabilities and supports LTE and PoE. The USG6500F with the all-in-one functionality can reduce the CAPEX by 30% once deployed.

Huawei Network Security Product Line was established in 2000. To date, Huawei has established six security technology labs around the world and has an R&D team with about 2500 professionals. In 2013, Huawei was listed as the first and only Chinese vendor in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Network Firewalls. In 2017, Huawei was named a Challenger and became one of the world's top vendors. By 2022, Huawei had been listed in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Network Firewalls for 10 consecutive years, as well as ranking No. 1 in the world with an overall rating of 4.9/5 stars in Gartner Peer Insights Customers' Choice for 2 consecutive years.
In recent years, Huawei has gained greater insight into customer requirements and technology trends, absorbed global innovation resources, and is committed to offering high-quality, highly reliable, and secure products and solutions for global customers. Huawei's security products and solutions have been sold to more than 80 countries and regions and are serving over 100,000 enterprise customers. Huawei has assisted enterprises in building a network-wide proactive defense system, and has helped customers in various industries to embrace a fully connected, intelligent world.
