At Huawei Network Summit 2023, Huawei launched the comprehensively upgraded Easy CloudFabric Solution with major hardware and software breakthroughs.

Specifically, Huawei released the CloudEngine 16800-X data center switch in Africa for the first time, aiming to help customers across industries move towards the diversified computing era. Huawei also unboxed the upgraded data center network solution with enhanced easy deployment, operations and maintenance (O&M), and evolution capabilities. The solution is ideal for achieving high convergence of applications and networks while also creating ultimate experience for multi-cloud, heterogeneous networks.

As digitalization gathers pace, more and more industries are entering the multi-cloud, diversified computing era. Diversified computing power will continue to grow rapidly in the next five years. For example, large model training, which has received huge recent attention especially with ChatGPT, is growing towards scenario-specific applications, which relies on the support of powerful computing.

In addition, more enterprises choose to move to clouds, with cloudification now common throughout the industry. Against this backdrop, enterprise customers are urgently looking for ways to integrate diversified computing power and centrally manage multi-cloud, heterogeneous networks in order to achieve high network automation and provide differentiated connection quality for diversified services.

To help enterprises address these challenges, Huawei upgraded the Easy CloudFabric Solution to provide ultimate experience in the multi-cloud, diversified computing era.

To begin with, Huawei launched the industry's first data center switch built for diversified computing power — CloudEngine 16800-X — which stands out with three differentiators:

  • X1 ultra-intelligent network: innovative network digital map, improving O&M efficiency by 30%
  • X2 ultra-high convergence: converged bearer of diversified computing power, reducing total cost of operation   (TCO)  by 36%
  • X3 ultra-high performance: 800GE ready, 90% high network throughput, and 20% higher AI training performance

Huawei upgraded the Easy CloudFabric Solution yet again to provide an all-scenario data center network solution for enterprise customers, creating ultimate network experience in the multi-cloud, diversified computing era. The solution has three highlights:

  • Easy deployment: The solution enables unified network deployment across clouds and vendors, as well as rapid service rollout, ensuring 100% network change accuracy.
  • Easy O&M: Thanks to the industry-unique digital map, the solution offers end-to-end (E2E) visibility into heterogeneous networks and can rapidly locate poor-quality of experience (QoE) issues in minutes.
  • Easy evolution: The solution supports smooth network evolution at scale to fully unleash HPC and AI computing power, reducing the TCO by 36%.

At the summit, Osama Ali El Salhy, Chief Technology Officer of CIRA Group— Huawei's data center network customer — was invited to share their experience in cooperating with Huawei. Osama Ali El Salhy said: "In CAPITALMED medical city, we deployed Huawei's CloudFabric data center network solution. On the physical layer, Huawei CloudEngine data center switches build high-performing interconnections; on the management layer, the solution provides full-lifecycle automation capabilities and easy SDN experience in e-Health cloud".

Huawei Easy CloudFabric Solution is the preferred choice for customers thanks to its technical innovations. Currently, it is widely used in industries such as finance, public services, energy, and education. Looking ahead, Huawei will continue to work with industry partners to strengthen the construction of data center networks and guide network upgrade towards automation and intelligence as well as intergenerational network evolution. All of these efforts are designed to accelerate enterprise digital transformation, ultimately helping customers achieve business success.
