Benin's President Patrice Talon and African Development Bank Group head Akinwumi Adesina will jointly address a press conference on a partial credit guarantee from the African Development Fund to the country.

The press conference will take place on 23 June 2023, from 13:00 to 14:00 Paris time at the Palais Brongniart, Paris, immediately after the closing ceremony of the Summit for a New Global Finance Compact.

Benin signed an agreement with the African Development Fund - the Bank Group's concessional window - for a partial credit guarantee of Ꞓ195 million, enabling the country to raise several million euros on the international financial market. The resources mobilized will finance critical projects in the country's priority development sectors: agriculture and agro-industry, water and sanitation, health, decent and affordable housing, education, and renewable energy.
