Compassion does not compromise justice; instead, it enhances justice. As humans, we are not perfect beings, and it would be unrealistic to create policies that ignore our inherent imperfections. I advocate for justice and fairness in a world that can often be unjust and unfair. We have no escape, nowhere to hide; utopia is merely an illusion. We must play the hand we're dealt – that's life.
Compassion holds greater power than heartlessness, and it's more desirable than indifference. Compassion gives birth to continuity, and continuity breeds hope. To make a difference, you must actively participate.
My politics of compassion acknowledges the inhumanity that humans sometimes exhibit towards each other and offers a way for us to address our own worst enemy, which often happens to be ourselves.
Compassion is far from a sign of weakness; it is a manifestation of absolute strength.
We don't lose anything by integrating compassion into our political discourse. In fact, we gain because compassion brings hope, and hope sustains life.
I firmly believe that a nation cannot prosper if its leaders lack empathy. Competence, character, personal integrity, and compassion will permeate every sector of a government led by me.
May God bless Liberia.
