The Africa Adaptation Acceleration Program (AAAP) and the Africa Climate Change Fund (ACCF) will jointly host a seminar on Empowering Youth and SMEs for Climate Resilience: Innovative Finance for Transformative Adaptation on the sidelines of the Adaptation Futures Conference in Montreal, Canada. The session will take place on 4 October at 13.35 Canada time (GMT -4).

The session will explore integrated solutions that can respond to complex societal challenges such as climate change. Panelists, mainly innovation actors, will share their experiences making change, and shifting to new paradigms in the climate change space.

Speakers will include the AAAP Coordinator Edith Ofwona Adera. ACCF's Coordinator, Rita Effah, will make a presentation on the Fund's financial support to women-led initiatives that promote climate action. ACCF will also announce imminent funding opportunities.

The seminar will also provide an overview of AAAP's YouthADAPT Programme, which works to empower African youth to address climate change by supporting innovative ideas and projects - in renewable energy, sanitation and water management or agriculture and food security - that promote climate change adaptation and resilience.
