The African Development Bank's Civil Society and Community Engagement Division will host a Northern Africa regional forum from November 5-6 in Cairo, Egypt under the theme: "Engaging civil society in mobilizing private sector financing for climate and green growth in Northern Africa".

The Forum, financed by the Korea-Africa Economic Cooperation (KOAFEC) Trust Fund, will bring together experts and leaders from civil society, government, and the regional business community to exchange best practices and opportunities for mobilizing private sector financing in the region. Participants will also have the opportunity to share experiences and discuss on challenges and opportunities to foster the transition to a green and climate-resilient economy in Northern Africa.

This regional forum, along with other forums in the other regions, demonstrates the African Development Bank's commitment to strengthening its presence and interaction with regional communities. The Bank continues to foster greater civil society participation in development actions and to champion the achievement of the continent's climate and green growth objectives.
