What: Central Africa Civil Society Regional Forum

Who: The African Development Bank's Civil Society and Community Engagement Division

When: 16 and 17 November 2023

Where: Yaoundé, Cameroon

The African Development Bank's Civil Society and Community Engagement Division will host a virtual regional forum in Central Africa, scheduled for November 16th and 17th in Yaoundé, Cameroon. It is under the theme: "Engaging civil society in mobilizing private sector financing for climate and green growth in Central Africa".

The forum, financed by the Korea-Africa Economic Cooperation (KOAFEC) Trust Fund, will bring together experts and leaders from civil society, government, and the regional business community to exchange best practices and opportunities for mobilizing private sector financing in the region.

Participants will share experiences and discuss challenges to foster the transition to a green and climate-resilient economy in Central Africa.

This forum demonstrates the African Development Bank's commitment to strengthening its presence and interaction with regional communities, fostering greater civil society participation in development actions, and championing the continent's climate and green growth objectives.
