Where: Africa Pavilion, Dubai - Hybrid Format (In person at the Africa Pavilion, Expo City, Dubai and online.

Following the fruitful dialogue during the 2023 regional civil society forums across the continent,

the African Development Bank Group-Civil Society Coalition is organizing a high-level event on Tuesday, 5 December from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (Dubai time) within the Africa Pavilion at COP28.

The event will bring together civil society organizations, governments, and parliamentarians who will join forces with the Bank to catalyze private sector financing towards a sustainable and resilient Africa.

The President of the African Development Bank Akinwumi Adesina will lead a unique conversation with a Bank-Civil Society Coalition, Burkina Faso Minister of Environment, Water and Sanitation, Cameroon Minister of the Environment, Nature Protection and Sustainable Development, and leaders of African civil society.

The event will help unlock Africa's climate and green growth potential and propose robust and innovative solutions to close the climate finance gap, including through deliberate community engagement.

A joint declaration on COP28 priorities will be published on climate finance for a green future.
