Nigeria: Kwara Governor, Speaker Greet Emir of Ilorin At 84

Kwara State governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazq has rejoiced with the Emir of Ilorin and chairman of the state Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari on his 84th birthday.

Similarly, the speaker of the state House of Assembly, Engr. Yakubu Salihu-Danladi, has sent a congratulatory message to Sulu-Gambari on the occasion.

The governor and speaker in separate statements signed by their chief press secretaries, Rafiu Ajakaye and Shehu Yusuf, hailed the emir for his commitment to peaceful co- existence amongst the people of diverse ethnic groups in Ilorin and the state as a whole.

He commended Sulu-Gambari for his profound dedication to the growth and development of the state, and his tireless efforts to promote peace, harmony, and unity in the state.

AbdulRazaq said the emir has remained a father to all while also deploying his rich experiences and networks to support not just the people of the Ilorin Emirate but also the people of the state as a whole.

He prayed to God to give the emir good health and long life, and continue to uphold him upon goodness in his service to the people of the emirate.

In his own message, Speaker Salihu-Danladi thanked Sulu-Gambari for his immense support for the people and the state government and his continuous prayers for abundant peace and development in Ilorin, Kwara, and Nigeria as a whole.

He noted that the emir has continued to demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities and skills and promote peace and harmony among all the people of the state.
