Nigeria: Foundation Supports 12 Female Students in Osun

An NGO, Guidance Community Development Foundation (GCDF) has provided financial support to 12 students of the Local Education Authority (LEA) Commercial Grammar School, Iwo, Osun State, to cover their fees.

The President General of (GCDF), Kabiru Adisa, disclosed this when his team visited the school for career guidance and financial support to the students.

In a statement, the Programme Manager of GCDF, Ahmad Abdulkabir, quoted Adisa as explaining that the assistance was to alleviate the financial burden on the students and ensure they continued their education without interruption.

Adisa advised the students to "be careful of romantic advances from your male peers. You have to prioritise your education and not succumb to distractions."

The Principal of the school, Olori Folake Oyebamiji, commended the foundation's effort towards assisting the most vulnerable students and contributing to their educational advancement.
