Nigeria: Rivers Crisis - 60 Reps in Support of Fubara

4 June 2024

House of Representatives members, code-named G-60, have vowed to give total support to Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State.

The G-60 said Fubara has sufficiently confronted the trying political moment and refused to be dampened by the distractions in providing equitable development to people of the state.

The 60 National Assembly members made the remark after a meeting with Fubara at Government House in Port Harcourt, yesterday.

Leader of the delegation, Ikenga Ugochinyere, who represents Ideato North and South federal constituency of Imo State, stated that despite the political challenges orchestrated to derail governance in the state that Governor Fubara has remained focused to deliver landmark projects to the state.

Ugochinyere said: "We are particularly delighted with the Trans-Kalabari Road project, which is going to traverse the swampy areas of the State that will benefit over three or four local governments.
