Nigeria: Nasarawa Youths Demand Justice Over Killing of 2

Concerned youths under the auspices of Wuse Youth Development Association (WYDA) in Nasarawa State are demanding justice over the killing of two of their youths by unidentified hoodlums in Azara Development Area of Awe LGA of the state.

City & Crime reports that a fracas in late April over land dispute between Wuse and Akiri communities had led to the killing of two youths of Wuse community. The deceased youths have been identified as Idris Muhammed Dangana and Muhammed Isa Dan' Adda.

Briefing journalists over the incident in Lafia, the state capital, the spokesperson of WYDA, Mr. Abubakar Haruna-Barau, urged the state government and security agencies to help fish out the perpetrators of the killings and bring them to justice.

Haruna-Barau lamented that weeks after the killing, no one had been arrested by security agents even though the DPO in-charge of Azara police division had later released the corpses to the families for burial.

He urged the member representing Awe South at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Mr. Suleiman Yakubu-Azara, the overseer of Azara Development Area, Mr. Adamu Muhammed-Sadiq and the paramount ruler of Akiri community, Alhaji Umaru Yamfa to come to their aid.
