Nigeria: Man Allegedly Kills 6-Year-Old Daughter

The Delta State Police Command has launched a manhunt for a man, Sankey Ovemureye, who allegedly killed his six-year-old daughter by smashing her head against a wall in Uviama New Layout, Agbarho, in Ughelli North LGA.

The spokesman of the command, SP Bright Edafe, who disclosed this to newsmen, said the incident occurred on June 15, 2024, and was reported to the police by the suspect's brother.

He said the Commissioner of Police, Olufemi Abaniwonda, had ordered a manhunt for the suspect, assuring that he would be arrested to face justice.

He, therefore, urged anyone with useful information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect to report to the nearest police station.
