Nigeria: Fire Guts Two-Storey Building in Lagos

A fire on Sunday engulfed a two-storey residential building at 14 Oko Baba Street, off Ibadan Street, Ebute-Metta, Lagos, destroying items worth millions of naira.

The fire, which broke out around 11:30 a.m., started in a flat on the top floor.

As of 2 p.m., the cause of the fire remained undetermined.

The affected units included a two-bedroom flat, a room and parlor self-contained unit, and a single room.

Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported.

The fire was extinguished by the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, federal firefighters, and the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA).
