1 September 2024

Comedian and content creator, Davidsyn known for the trending slang 'Just dey play' has said that his move to Canada was a very difficult decision.

In an interview with Potpourri, the funny man said: "I went to Canada to study. As it has always been my dream and the wish of my parents. Even though it was a very difficult decision for me at this time, especially when my brand has begun to gain strong attention in the social media space and in Nigeria. I had to do what I had to do".

On how he intends to stay relevant, Davidsyn said he intends to keep posting his skits on social media.

"Remaining relevant is intentional, especially in this era of social media. I intend to continue to churn content as I have always done. I will do this by reaching out to my audience within and outside Nigeria .I will still express myself and pass messages through standup comedy and comedy skits as always".

Davidsyn noted that his decision to be a skit maker was as a result of the influence of his environment.

"I would say my environment influenced me. I used to watch skit makers then on social media (even though they were only a few of them back then in 2016) but i loved it and thought i could bring some of my hidden 'craziness' online".

On what makes him unique, he said:" It's unusual but relatable. My style tasks your brain to follow the story, by filling in the gaps with your own words, according to your understanding of the story".
