The former Deputy President of the Senate in the 9th session of the National Assembly, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, has described Senator Kashim Shettima, Vice President of Nigeria, as a man of courage and strength.

In a goodwill message to the Vice President on his 58th birthday, Omo-Agege said the former governor of Borno State has displayed remarkable courage in his support for his boss, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and in bringing his vision to bear on the implementation of the Renewed Hope agenda.

According to Senator Omo-Agege, even as governor of Borno State, Vice President Shettima was dedicated to his people and despite the security challenges in the state, recorded significant milestones that endeared him to not just his people but also won him admiration nationwide.

Senator Omo-Agege said in Shettima, President Tinubu made a perfect choice of a running mate who added value to the presidential ticket and even more as Vice President.

"Vice President Shettima is a very resourceful, imaginative and courageous gentleman. He thinks along the line of inlusivity and uniting the people. Indeed, our country is lucky to have him as a dependable ally of the President. He prayed God to add more productive years to him and strengthen his commitment to serving the country.
