Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has been awarded the Africa Man of the Year Award by the Africa Women Global Community.
The award, presented by the Women in Africa for Transformation Initiative, acknowledges Governor Fintiri's remarkable progress in promoting women's representation in Adamawa State.
Under his leadership, the state has achieved unprecedented milestones, including a female deputy governor, a female chief judge, and all 21 local government chairpersons being women.
Chief Mrs. Rachel Akem-Harumi, Founder of the World Women Organization and CEO of Africa Woman of the Year International, praised Governor Fintiri's outstanding contributions to gender equality, stating, "The achievements are truly remarkable and a testament to your commitment to empowering women."
The international award committee's decision to honor Governor Fintiri with the Africa Man of the Year Award recognizes his dedication to creating opportunities for women in Adamawa State.
"The award is a significant acknowledgment of his efforts to promote gender equality and empowerment" she said.
"Governor Fintiri's leadership has set a benchmark for gender representation in Nigeria, and this award is a well-deserved recognition of his commitment to creating a more inclusive society."
