Nigeria: APC Chairmen Endorse NWC Decision On Rivers, Hail Okocha's Leadership

The Forum of APC State Chairmen has backed the National Working Committee's (NWC) decision to extend the tenure of the Rivers State APC caretaker committee led by Chief Tony Okocha.

The chairmen also commended Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje's leadership and resolved to send a letter of appreciation to him.

At a press conference in Abuja, Forum Chairman Cornelius Ojelabi and Secretary Alphonsus Ogar Eba Esq expressed solidarity with FCT Minister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, praising his exceptional performance and infrastructural development in the FCT.

Eba read the forum's resolutions, stating: "Chief Tony Okocha's leadership has revitalized the Rivers State APC chapter, making it one of the most active and vibrant. We commend the NWC's decision and pledge to continue dialogue to build cohesion and lasting peace in the party."

The forum also acknowledged the contributions of key actors who ensured the party's victory in the presidential election in Rivers State, including their commitment to power rotation between the North and South.

The chairmen praised Minister Wike's visible achievements in infrastructural development, security, and human capital development, expressing deep appreciation for his excellent delivery as a minister.
