The Minister reiterated that all military personnel, regardless of rank, deserve fair and respectful treatment. He stressed that Seaman Abbas Haruna's rights will be protected throughout the investigation, and any breach of protocol will be addressed promptly and decisively.

The Ministry remains committed to upholding the rule of law, ensuring that no officer or civilian faces unfair treatment or harassment. Matawalle urged the public and stakeholders to remain calm and patient as the investigation progresses."
