23 September 2024

As the first lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, celebrates her 64 birthday, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has urged the federal government to address the country's worsening economic and security issues.

This is contained in a statement on Sunday celebrating Mrs Tinubu's birthday by CAN President Archbishop Daniel Okoh.

The statement commended the first lady's dedication to social causes, especially in agriculture, women's empowerment, education, healthcare, and philanthropy.

Similarly, a former first lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, has felicitated with Sen. Tinubu on her 64th birthday anniversary.

Mrs Jonathan, in her congratulatory message, described Mrs Tinubu as a distinguished and patriotic Nigerian whose remarkable contributions to the nation's democratic development and women empowerment have left an indelible mark on the country. She lauded her commitment and dedication to selfless service through her Renewed Hope Initiative pet project where she has restored hope to many Nigerians.

She commended her for her advocacy on girl child rights, empowerment of women and vulnerable groups as well as educational promotion.
