Nigeria: Anambra Deputy Governor Says Council Poll Fantastic, Commendable

28 September 2024

The Anambra State Deputy Governor, Dr Onyeka Ibezim on Saturday described the Council poll as fantastic and commendable.

Ibezim stated this after casting his vote at the polling unit 016 at Community Primary School Mbaukwu, Awka South LGA.

He expressed confidence that the outcome of the poll would speak volumes of Gov Chukwuma Soludo's administration's developmental projects.

According to him, the residents were already aware of the governor's achievements within two years in office and will reciprocate accordingly at the ballot.

He said that APGA was on the lips of every Anambra State resident and charged voters to ensure their votes were counted in the council poll.

NAN reports that APGA is the leading across polling units having also provided candidates for all the 21 Council Areas and 326 electoral awards, unlike other political parties.

NAN also reports that no other political party agents were visibly seen within the voting centre.

The council poll results collation is ongoing across all the polling units of the state wards and results will be announced at the ANSIEC headquarters after collation.
