Experts have decried the rise in sexual relations in professional setting, saying it is a threat to corporate existence.
Chairman of The Duke's Masterclass, Joseph Edgar, lamented that business leaders were turning a blind eye to it, and argued that it could damage an organisation's reputation.
Edgar said stakeholders would come together to speak on the issue of sexual relations in the workplace in Lagos.
According to him, "although some aspects of workplace relationships may seem positive, the overwhelming negative impacts--if not properly managed--pose threats in four key areas: legal, human capital, brand reputation, and structural integrity. These effects can weaken an organization, making it incapable of achieving its corporate goals."
Those expected to speak at the event scheduled for October 25 at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, include Chief Judge of Lagos State, Justice Kazeem Alogba; a senior judge of the Lagos High Court, Justice Akinlade; Chairman of Odua Group; Otunba Bimbo Ashiru; Chairman of Gbose Group, Adekunle Oyinloye; Managing Director of Anchor Insurance, Dr Austen Ebose.
This session is expected to attract CEOs, business owners, corporate leaders, brand and reputation management experts, and HR professionals. The goal is to not only discuss the various facets of this issue but also to develop practical solutions and preventive measures that can be embedded into corporate culture to eliminate this harmful trend.
