Nigeria: Zamfara Electoral Commission Fixes LG Polls Nov 16

The Zamfara State Independent Electoral Commission (ZASIEC) has fixed November 16th, 2024, for the Local Government Council Election.

Addressing a Press Conference, the Chairman of the state Independent Electoral Commission, Bala Aliyu Gusau, announced this in his office in Gusau on Monday.

The Chairman said the sale of forms for the interested candidates will commence on October 25th and end on the first of November this year.

According to him, the commission has concluded arrangements to conduct the local government elections across the 14 local governments of the state, and he assured that hitch-free local government polls will be conducted.

The fixed election date was announced in compliance with the recent judgement and autonomy given to local government areas by the Supreme Court in Abuja.
