Nigeria: Onaolapo Promises 'Next Level' As Church Marks 40th Anniversary

17 October 2024

Rev. Dr. Janet Onaolapo, General Overseer of Abundant Life Gospel Church, has reaffirmed the church's commitment to interceding for Nigeria and positively impacting communities across the country as it prepares to celebrate its 40th anniversary.

The week-long event is set to run from Monday, October 21 to Sunday, October 27, under the theme "Next Level."

In a press release ahead of the celebration, Rev. Onaolapo emphasized the significance of the anniversary, noting that the gathering of thousands of worshipers from the church's 20 branches, both within and outside Nigeria, will include powerful intercessory prayers for the nation.

"For the past 40 years, God has continually fought our battles. This is our year of the supernatural, and we shall all manifest. Prepare to meet the One who answers prayers and get ready for the next level. We've walked in grace for four decades, experiencing tremendous growth," Onaolapo said.

She also invited worshipers to a series of impactful sessions with notable Fathers of Faith and Gospel music ministers. The event will be held at the church's international headquarters, Peace Cathedral, a 25,000-seater venue located at 69 Iju Road, Agege, Lagos.

The week will feature music concerts, business seminars, health talks, and a trade fair. Youth development is a key focus, with special seminars on business and wellness, as well as sports activities such as table tennis and soccer tournaments, honoring the church's late bishop, who was a table tennis champion.

Ministers scheduled to speak include Bishop Mike Okonkwo, Bishop David Oyedepo, Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo, Bishop Segun Johnson, Poju Oyemade, and Apostle Johnson Suleman, among others. Gospel artists like Buchi, Monique, Yinka Alaseyori, Dare Justified, Praise Adeyanju, and Daniel O'dawin will lead worship alongside the church's Abundant Life Voices.

The Abundant Life Gospel Church is renowned for its outreach-focused ministry and dedication to soul-winning.
