Nigeria: Withheld Salaries - FG Pays Nasu Members

The Federal Government has commenced payment of withheld salaries of the Non-Academic Staff Union of Federal Universities, NASU.

This was disclosed in a statement by the Director, of Press and Public Relations, Office of Accountant General of the Federation, Mr. Bawa Mokwa, OAGF.

The statement said payments to Non-Academic Staff of Federal Universities had commenced, adding that many have confirmed receipt.

It said federal government has also released funds for payment of benefits to retirees under the Nigerian Union of Pensioners Contributory Pension Scheme Sector, NUPCPS.

The statement added that government would remain committed to catering for the well-being of Nigerian workers and retirees.
