Nigeria: Ecobank Boosts Construction Sector With Design & Build Expo

Ecobank Nigeria Limited yesterday said it will hold a five day exhibition tagged Build and Design expo to promote innovation and creativity in the construction sector.

Speaking at a press briefing, Omoboye Odu, Head, SME, Partnerships and Collaboration, said Ecobank Build & Design expo will feature 54 exhibitors and knowledge exchange sessions by world renowned architects and Development Finance Institutions including the International Finance Company and the World Bank.

She said: "For our customers in construction space, we decided to do something called the Ecobank Design and Build Expo, which is a 5-Day curated event for everything in the construction value chain, from civil works, architecture engineering, interior decorating, kitchen fits out, sanitary ware, floor, glass, etc.

"We have 54 exhibitors in our space from the 27th of November to the December 1st, showcasing innovation, creativity, everything that you can find in the construction value chain.

"We're giving them the platform to network, platform to collaborate and partner, platform to socialize, platform to have that international visibility.

"We're working with our clients in the NGO space, embassy space, DFI space, multilateral space, to come and visit what our guys are doing. We're going to a knowledge exchange session that will be given by international, world renowned architects and Nigerian architects, international DFIs, the IFC, the World Bank and Chapel Hill Denham.

"We have sponsors in the construction space, in the interior decorating space. Essentially, we're using our platform to provide further visibility for our clients and prospective clients from Nigerian companies to show the world what we as Nigerians, as Africans, can offer."
