Nigeria: Abandoned FG Roads in Kwara North Resume Rehabilitation After 45 Years

As the rehabilitation progress of federal roads in Bode Saadu, Kaiama and Baruten in Kwara North reaches advanced stages, Chairman of Kaiama local government, Hon Abubakar Abdullah Danladi, The Emir of Kaiama, Alhaji Omar Shehu Muazu Bagidi Ki Yaru among others have commended the collaborative efforts of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and the management of BUA company to fix the roads.

Recall that the roads had been abandoned for over forty-five years. resumed rehabilitation in the life of the current administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, following the collaborative efforts of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq among other stakeholders.

The affected areas include Bode Saadu, Kaiama, and Baruten federal road projects which had reached a significant milestone, covering 45 kilometres that have been completed thus far.

The stakeholders who confirmed the progress of the roads project made the remarks during their visit to the sites at the weekend.

The Emir of Kaiama, Alhaji Omar Shehu Muazu Bagidi Ki Yaru, the Executive Chairman of Kaiama Local Government Hon Abubakar Abdullah Danladi and other critical stakeholders who visited the site expressed their gratitudes to President Tinubu, the Governor of Kwara State Mall Abdulrahman Abdulrazak and the BUA company for their hard work and dedication to the project.

Chairman of Kaiama local government,Alh Abubabar Abdullahi Danladi told journalists that people of Kwara North are eternally grateful to Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Executive Governor of Kwara State, for transforming a long-held dream into reality.

He said that the historic completion of the Bode-Sadu-Kaiama-Baruten road, a vision nurtured for over 45 years, is a testament to the governor's unwavering commitment to the development of Kwara North.

"This landmark achievement would not have been possible without Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq's leadership, vision, and dedication to the welfare of the people.

"His administration's efforts have opened up new opportunities for economic growth, social progress, and improved living standards for the people of Kwara North."

For his part,the Emir of Kaiama, Alhaji Omar Shehu Muazu Bagidi Ki Yaru, also commended Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq," for his courage, perseverance, and passion for development. His legacy will be remembered for generations to come, and the people of Kwara North will forever be grateful for his transformative leadership. "

Reduced Travel Time-The road will reduce travel time between Kwara State and neighboring states and countries.

Increased Access to Markets- The road will provide farmers and traders with increased access to markets, both within and outside the state.
