Monrovia — In a move aimed at transforming Liberia's meat market, Rose Martin-King has officially launched El Shaddai Butchery Agriculture Enterprise, a butcher shop and farm store located in Joe Bar, Paynesville, outside Monrovia. The butchery, an extension of Martin-King's integrated farm in Charlesville Township, Margibi County, specializes in providing organic, locally sourced meat products, including beef, pork, goat, and chicken.
During the opening ceremony, Martin-King expressed her passion for agriculture and her determination to showcase its potential as a viable business in Liberia. "This business is 100% Liberian-owned, and it's my belief that if others can do it, so can we," she said. "This venture is about showing young Liberians that agriculture, especially meat production, is a viable and profitable industry."
Commitment to Quality and Hygiene
El Shaddai Butchery stands out for its emphasis on quality, hygiene, and customer satisfaction. The farm follows strict practices to ensure animals are raised in natural and healthy conditions, which translates into high-quality meat for consumers.

She credited her late father, a farmer, and her mentor, Mr. Kenneth Y. Best, Publisher and Managing Editor of the Daily Observer newspaper, for inspiring and supporting her journey. Best, who attended the ceremony, delivered a spiritual reading from Psalm 9:27-2 and lauded Martin-King's efforts in revitalizing Liberia's agricultural sector.
