Major General H T Wesley has called on ex-boys of Nigerian Military School, Zaria, to be their brothers" keeper and respect one another irrespective of the socio-economic status.
Major General Wesley, who made the call during the NMS 94 alumni's 25-year reunion celebration, held at Crispan Hotel, Jos, noted that individuals have their different destinies and therefore should help one another wherever they find themselves.
Wesley, Special guest of honour at the event stressed the need for participants to strive in life to become successful, as they have no reason to fail, noting that a lot was given to them and they should utilize it to pay back to the country and their alma mater, encouraging them to cooperate and invest in lawful and purposeful enterprises to help one another, and thereby build the country.
He said ,"Let the camaraderie amongst us not be watered down by strata and class. Let prejudice be laid aside while objectivity and open-mindedness be embraced. Let us look within and tap from our various potentials because "We rise by lifting others".

Gen Wesley also noted that 25 years and above is a season to exhibit maturity, saying instead of competing with one another,
"we should learn to collaborate. Weaklings compete while great minds collaboration". We all need something that the other person can provide, therefore we can source within ourselves. By this, we could become better informed and grow together, not just as an association but as individuals touching lives in our own space. Maj Gen Wesley said," he added.
Chairman of the occasion and General Officer of 3 division and commander Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), Major general Folusho Oyinlola, also called on the ex-boys to be good ambassadors and ensure the continue to be disciplined, saying the occasion is an opportunity to create new memories.
The Chairman of the event recalled that Nigerian Military Schools drill students with various training and teach them discipline.
He emphasized that the discipline instilled in them during their time at school should continue to benefit them after graduation, reminding them to be brother's keeper and never leave anyone one behind.
The out going chairman of the set, Nnebedum Chukwuma Jacob, who described the journey as a remarkable one said, "This gathering marked a significant milestone, 25 years of enduring brotherhood, service, and sacrifice. Beyond reconnecting and celebrating our journey, we were intentional about leaving a positive footprint in the host community and classmates. We reaffirmed our commitment to national development and community support."
Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, also joined members of the Nigerian Military School to mark their 25th anniversary reunion.
Governor Mutfwang, who was represented by the Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Naanlong Daniel Gapyil, congratulated the ex-students and expressed delight that Plateau was chosen as the host.
He emphasized that such gatherings add socio-economic value to the state and promote unity, peace, and development.
