Nigeria: Emmanson Needs Healing, Not Mockery - Kehinde Ajose

26 August 2025

Media entrepreneur and visibility strategist, Kehinde Ajose, has advised Comfort Emmanson to embrace therapy following her public humiliation in the Ibom Air incident that trended on social media.

Emmanson was forcibly removed from a flight in an altercation that left her wig on the floor and clothes torn, as fellow passengers recorded the scene. The videos went viral, turning into memes and online stickers that deepened her distress.

Ajose, reacting to the saga, stressed the importance of professional help for people caught in such overwhelming moments.

"Therapy is not a sign of weakness; it's a tool for healing and resilience," he said. "When a person experiences what Comfort went through, it's easy to slip into anxiety, self-doubt, or even depression. Therapy can serve as a stabilizing force."

He added that Nigerians often forget the human side of viral sagas.

"Behind every hashtag is a real life. Comfort Emmanson needs healing, not mockery. Therapy will help her process it all and regain her footing," Ajose stated.

In a recent Instagram video, Emmanson thanked supporters for standing by her but admitted ridicule from viral clips has hurt her business and private life.

Ajose concluded:

"As a society, we must normalize compassion. The same way we rush to analyze scandals, we should also encourage recovery. Comfort deserves empathy and a second chance."
