Nigeria: Yobe Gov's Office Gets Ultra-Modern ICT Centre

21 September 2025

Yobe State Head of Service, Alhaji Tonga Betara Bularafa, has commissioned a state-of-the-art information and communication technology (ICT) centre at the Governor's Office in Damaturu, Yobe State.

He described the facility as a strategic milestone in the transformation of the Yobe State Civil Service, which is expected to eliminate bureaucratic bottlenecks, improve administrative efficiency and strengthen data-driven decision making across ministries, departments and agencies.

Conducting the Head of Service around the centre, the director of Administration, Mohammed Mustapha, explained that the ICT hub would serve as a central platform for digital records, personnel management and policy planning, a critical tool in driving the sustainable development of the state's workforce.

In his remarks, Alhaji Bularafa expressed satisfaction with the quality and functionality of the centre.

He assured permanent secretaries and directors of his office's support in ensuring optimal use of the facility to promote transparency, accountability, and effective service delivery.

The commissioning of the ICT centre marks another milestone in Governor Buni's commitment to modernising governance and leveraging technology to strengthen public service delivery in Yobe State.
